What started out as plans for a food truck quickly, and successfully, pivoted to a ghost kitchen pick-up pizza spot during the pandemic for couple Jenn and Steve Kaplan. Having left corporate jobs to become their own bosses, the couple has managed to build one of the best pizza places in Chicago in a matter of a few years; and that’s not just our opinion–they were named “One of the Best 25 Pizzas in Chicago” according to the Chicago Tribune, and have been listed on almost every food blog or website as a “must try." The flaky Detroit-style crust marries perfectly with innovative flavors and incredibly fresh ingredients to make, in short, a perfect pizza. Five Squared Pizza also allows customers to mix-and-match flavors–each pizza has four hearty slices, and you can get four different flavors in each box. It’s not like any other pizza spot out there right now, and their success speaks for itself–orders sell out almost every weekend.
